Prison Break 3

The first 3 episodes of Prison Break 3 is like a page turner book, its addicting and now I regret watching it. I should have avoided it and waited for the season to be finished instead and watch the whole season in 24 hours straight. I recall when I had a marathon watching the series. I started 1pm and finished at 4am and damn dvd wasn't finish yet.

Prison Break is indeed addicting and the story line is unique and not to mention the pretty actors in it. Lin's pecs is such a magnet. Damn! Albeit its uniqueness, there were goofs during the first and second season that were pretty obvious. I pretty sure some noticed it too. There was a scene were Nick, Veronica and Lj were held in cottage in the woods. They tried to escape and when they were about to run, bullets were everywhere and hit the parked car. They managed to escape and drove Nick to the nearest hospital. That scene showed an unblemished car free from bullet holes.

Another one I noticed is the stolen money. The two brothers and the other convicts are all going for the D.B. Cooper's five million, which was stolen several decades ago. There are design changes in the US Dollar bills so how are they going to use the buried five million? While there have been several design changes to US currency, this does not mean the money cannot be used. It is still considered legal tender. However, money taken in the D.B. Cooper heist just showing up all of a sudden in circulation would be a little eye-brow raising.

The heck with the goofs, it is still a good show anyway. Michael's eyes tantalizes me to my very core. I am not gonna stop watching this and Sarah should be back. There is an online petition to revive Sarah's character. Perhaps because she was pregnant (i just dont know if she has given birth yet) and cant shoot much.

A Star Studded Saturday and a Caramelized Popcorn

Last Saturday was my finals in Diliman. It was a star studded classroom; Goma was my classmate in Philo while Rachel Ann Go, Aldred Gatchalian and Jackie Lou Blanco were at my Comm class. I expected them to be there because they just had to take the finals. I was surprised that Goma finished the exam in, say less than an hour.

Surprisingly, a star only struck me when I went to The Block after school for my OB check up when I saw Angelica Panganiban in black skinny pants, black tube, black stilettos and a white head band. Damn she indeed is pretty. She is not fat at all. People were struck with her beauty and shape. She was like an angel dressed in black. Four security guards had to escort on the way out cuz people can't get enough of her. She looked friendly and was smiling all the time.

Jake Cuenca graced a new shoe store at The Block, he looked like a snob, not really more of a crowd favorite.

Oh by the way, that reminded of the caramelized popcorn I bought one of this stalls in that mall. I was really frustrated, the crispiness was not that of I expected. I wanted to return it for an exchange but hubby insisted not to but I was really disappointed. I didnt finish the bucket.

Disappointed I was, I headed to the 5th floor to see our OB with the bucket of popcorn on my hand. My OB told me that my glucose level was above average but still within the normal range. Then I just had to say goodbye to you sweet popcorn!

Can't they be any more DESPERATE?

Desperate Housewives are getting more desperate after the insult they just made to the FILIPINOS.

In one scene Mayer asks for the credentials of the gynecologist who examined her and told her that she was approaching menopause.Mayer said, "Can I check those diplomas 'coz I just want to make sure that they're not from some med school in the Philippines."

Isn't that insulting to the core? We just finished the Malu Fernandez issue and here is another one!!!! ABC owes the Filipinos a public apology.

Sila na nga tong recruit ng recruit ng nurses, doctors and caregivers tapos mang iinsulto pa. I have nothing against Teri. I believe that the network should have been responsible.

Click for the video.

An online petition is up demanding an apology from the network to the Filipino people.

Another one...

A colleague asked me through text if my second sss maternity claim was granted. "Of course" , I said. Now that made me wondered why she asked but I didn't want to entertain the thought of M I S C A R R I A G E. I asked her why, I couldn't help it. After being thrilled by her pregnancy, I felt I should ask.

To my fear, she miscarried...for the second time, just like me. It was bizarre though. Her first pregnancy was January this year, same with me only that it was last year. Her miscarriage was February, mine was a year before and that was February. She got pregnant again on September, I got pregnant on September of 2006. We both learned our miscarriages on the month of October. Weird eh.

Miscarrying will never be easy. I remember the day when Lic and I went to the sonologist's lab for an ultrasound. It was a small gloomy room along Blumentritt. The sonologist asked me if I took any kind of pill or if I got stressed lately. She asked those question because........ my baby already died inside me. Lic was waiting outside the room, I didn't know how to break the devastating news to him. I felt numbed, I felt like my soul separated from my being. I took a deep breath, I pulled the creeky door and told him that the we lost our baby.

He asked me the same question I was asking myself, "WHY???". I didn't know what to say. I didn't know too. We left the lab and went inside the car where we cried like babies. It was a rainy afternoon, as if the heavens were mourning with us.

I was never the same since then....

Period......

After 39 days, I finally got my period. I was glad that I got it, I am not ready to be pregnant again. Not that I dont wat to, hubby and I just decided to undergo all necessary tests that OB will be requiring to save ourselves from future grief. For those who didn't know, I had to miscarriages last year. Two in a row. A blighted ovum and a fetal demise.

I started seeing my new OB, who I found to be very good and informative. She was recommended in GT and also by a friend. She required blood and thyroid tests. She told me that diabetes and thyroid problems are common causes of miscarriage. Infections and thin endometrium lining can cause fetal demise. Then there is APAS which what Sharon Cuneta had, and she paid a whopping 3M for treatment.

I told OB that if ever na positive ako with APAS, I dont have much money for the treatment. Sabi naman nia, what she usually do is just maintain her patients with ASPIRIN, FOLIC ACID and OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDS all throughout the pregnancy. She has success stories with APAS positive patients with her way of treatment. Well, I have a good feeling about it. Ive been searching for an OB na makakasundo ko and hindi tamad mag explain, and sia na yun. Thank you Lord.
